Միջադեպը տեղի է ունեցել նոյեմբերի 26-ի գիշերը Վատուտինա փողոցի բարձրահարկ շենքերից մեկում։ Երեք տարեկան տղան կերել է շոկոլադե սալիկ, որից հետո իրեն վատ է զգացել։ Երեխան սկսել է սրտխառնոց զգալ և կորցրել գիտակցությունը։ Մայրը շտապօգնություն է կանչել, իսկ ժամանած բժիշկներին ստիպել են տեղում մահ արձանագրել։

Անհայտ է, թե արդյոք երեխան շոկոլադից բացի այլ բան է կերել, նախքան հիվանդության նշանների հայտնվելը։ Ինչպես նշում է պարբերականը, բժիշկների հետ շփվելիս տղայի մայրը շոկի մեջ է եղել։ Դեպքի հանգամանքները պարզվում են։
