Իսպանական թենիսի լեգենդ Ռաֆայել Նադալը պարտվել է պրոֆեսիոնալ կարիերայի վերջին մրցախաղում:

Իսպանական Մալագա քաղաքում ընթացող Դևիսի գավաթի խաղարկության քառորդ եզրափակչում Իսպանիայի հավաքականը մրցեց Նիդեռլադների թիմի հետ և զիջեց 2:0  հաշվով:

Ռաֆայել Նադալն իր մենախաղում երկու սեթում պարտվեց Բոտիկ վան դե Զանսխուլպին` 6:4, 6:4 հաշվով:

Ռաֆայել Նադալը թենիսի Ֆրանսիայի բաց առաջնության` Ռոլան Գարոսի ռեկորդային հաղթող է` 14 անգամ: Երկու անգամ հաղթել է Ավստրիալիայի բաց առաջնությունում, նույնքան անգամ` Ուիմբլդոնում,  4 անգամ հաղթել է ԱՄՆ բաց առաջնությունում: Կարիերայի ընթացքում 30 անգամ հասել է «Մեծ սաղավարտ»-ի մրցաշարերի եզրափակիչ, որոնցից 22-ում հաղթել է: Նադալը նաև Պեկինի Օլիմպիական խաղերի ոսկե մեդալակիր է:
