Միացյալ Նահանգների պետական քարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենն ու Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանը քննարկել են Հարավային Կովկասում «արժանապատիվ և կայուն» խաղաղության կարևորությունը։

Հանդիպումը տեղի է ունեցել Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում G20-ի գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում, հայտնել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը։։

Նրանք նաև քննարկել են Լիբանանի հակամարտության դիվանագիտական կարգավորման անհրաժեշտությունը, ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի 1701 բանաձևի կատարումը, որը «թույլ կտա սահմանի երկու կողմի քաղաքացիներին վերադառնալ իրենց տները»:

Բացի այդ, դիվանագետները քննարկել են Գազայում շարունակվող «մարդասիրական ջանքերն» ու «պատերազմը վերջ դնելու և բոլոր պատանդների ազատ արձակման անհրաժեշտությունը»։
