«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրել է․

«ԲԴԽ անդամի թեկնածու՝ փաստաբան Ալեքսանդր Սիրունյանը երեկ փակ հանդիպում է ունեցել իշխող ֆրակցիայի հետ, որին 71 հոգուց մոտ երկու տասնյակ պատգամավոր է մասնակցել, ինչը, փաստորեն, վերաբերմունք է ՔՊ վարչության որոշման նկատմամբ, որը Սիրունյանին առաջարկել է ընտրել ԲԴԽ անդամ։

Բանն այն է, որ ՔՊ շարքերում, այս թեկնածության հետ կապված, խուլ դժգոհություն կա, սակայն եթե վերեւից ստանան քաղաքական հրահանգ, ապա հլու-հնազանդ կողմ կքվեարկեն նրա թեկնածությանը։ Փակ հանդիպման ընթացքում հիմնականում խոսել է Սիրունյանը, ներկայացրել իր անցած ուղին եւ տեսլականը՝ Բարձրագույն դատական խորհրդի աշխատանքի առնչությամբ։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Սիրունյանը շաբաթներ առաջ էլ արդարադատության նախարարի թեկնածու էր, սակայն ՔՊ վարչությունը քվեարկության ժամանակ նրան ոչ մի ձայն չէր տվել»։
