Հայաստանի ծանրամարտի հավաքականի անդամ Գարիկ Կարապետյանը դարձել է Եվրոպայի մինչև 23 տարեկանների առաջնության ոսկե մեդալակիր:

Հայաստանի հավաքականի անդամը պոկում վարժությունում երեք հաջող մոտեցմամբ բարձրացրել է 170, 175, 182 կգ՝  նվաճելով փոքր ոսկե մեդալ: 

Հրում վարժությունում Կարապետյանը բարձրացրել է 200, 210, 220 կգ․ հայ ծանրորդը երկամարտի 402 կգ արդյունքով դարձել է ծանրամարտի Եվրոպայի երիտասարդական առաջնության ոսկե մեդալակիր։
