Կյանքից հեռացել է Հայաստանի վաստակաշատ մարզիչ Էդվարդ Վաթյանը։ Այդ մասին հայտնում է Հայաստանի Բասկետբոլի ֆեդերացիայի մամուլի ծառայությունը։

«Խորը ցավով տեղեկացնում ենք, որ կյանքից հեռացել է Հայաստանի վաստակաշատ մարզիչներից՝ Էդվարդ Վաթյանը։

Էդվարդ Վաթյանը ծնվել է 1938 թվականին։ Նա հանդես է եկել Հայաստանի հավաքականներում, մասնակցել ԽՍՀՄ առաջնություններին, համամիութենական ժողովուրդների ամառային սպարտակադիաներին, միջազգային մրցաշարերին և այլ մրցումներին։

Սպորտային կարիերան ավարտելուց հետո նա շարունակել է իր գործունեությունը որպես մարզիչ, մեծ ներդրում ունենալով բասկետբոլի զարգացման գործում։ Նրա սաներից շատերը ընդգրկվել են Հայաստանի հավաքականներում։ Հրաժեշտը տեղի կունենա հոկտեմբերի 31-ին՝ ժամը 14:00-ին, Ռոդոն սգո սրահում»,- ասված է հաղորդագրության մեջ։
