Իսրայելը 534 մլն դոլար արժողությամբ պայմանագիր է կնքել՝ Iron Beam լազերային ՀՕՊ համակարգեր գնելու համար

Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հայտարարել է, որ պայմանագիր է կնքել իսրայելական Rafael Advanced Defense Systems և Elbit Systems ընկերությունների հետ՝ բարձր հզորության Iron Beam հակաօդային պաշտպանության լազերային համակարգեր գնելու համար:

Ինչպես գրում է The Jerusalem Post-ը, պայմանագրի արժեքը 534 մլն դոլար է:

Պայմանագիրը ստորագրվել է պաշտպանության նախարարության գլխավոր տնօրեն Էյալ Զամիրի կողմից լազերային համակարգի արտադրությունն ընդլայնելու հրամանի ստորագրման հաջորդ օրը, նշել է նախարարությունը։

Իր կայքում Rafael Advanced Defense Systems-ն Iron Beam-ը նկարագրել է որպես «100 կՎտ դասի բարձր էներգիայի լազերային զենքի համակարգ», որը, ինչպես ակնկալվում է, կլինի իր դասի առաջին նման համակարգը: Ընկերության տվյալներով՝ այն արդյունավետ է հարյուրավոր մետրից մինչև մի քանի կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող սպառնալիքները թիրախավորելու համար:

Ի տարբերություն Iron Dome համակարգի, որի յուրաքանչյուր կալանիչի արձակումն արժե տասնյակ հազարավոր դոլարներ, Iron Beam համակարգի մեկ օգտագործումն արժե մոտ երկու դոլար:
