 ԵԿՄ նախագահ Սասուն Միքայելյանը կողմ է հայ-ադբեջանական սահմանազատման գործընթացին, քանի որ ստեղծված իրավիճակում այլ ելք չի տեսնում։ Այս մասին նա հայտարարեց «Եռաբլուր» զինվորական պանթեոնում՝ Հոկտեմբերի 27-ի զոհերի հիշատակի արարողության ժամանակ։
 
«Ես կողմ եմ սահմանազատմանը, որովհետև այսօր ոչ մի հնարավորություն չունենք ադրբեջանցու դեմ կռվելու։ 20 տարի ադրբեջանցիները ժամանակակից զենք-զինամթերք էին առնում, իսկ մեր նախորդ իշխանություններն ալան-թալանով էին զբաղվում»,-ասաց Միքայելյանը։
 
Նա ընդգծեց, որ երկրապահները միշտ էլ իշխանության կողքին են եղել և չեն փորձի «քաղաքական խաղեր տալ»։
 
Միքայելյանի խոսքով՝ սահմանազատումն անհրաժեշտ է, որպեսզի Հայաստանը ազատ և անկախ պետություն դառնա, մի բան, որ այսքան տարի, ըստ նրա, չենք ունեցել։
