BRICS միջպետական միավորման ղեկավարներն առայժմ որոշել են նոր մասնակիցներ չընդունել, իսկ անդամակցության հայտ ներկայացրած երկրներին շնորհել գործընկերոջ կարգավիճակ: Այդ մասին հայտնել Է Իրանի ԱԳ նախարար Աբբաս Արաղչին՝ փոխանցում է IRNA-ն։ Հայտարարությունն արվել է ի պատասխան BRICS-ին անդամակցելու համար 30-ից 35 երկրի հայտերի:

Ըստ Արաղչիի՝ BRICS-ի երկրների ղեկավարներն «արդեն մշակել են անհրաժեշտ չափանիշները», որոնց պետությունը պետք է համապատասխանի՝ գործընկերոջ կարգավիճակ ստանալու համար։

Ավելի վաղ ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը նեղ կազմով հանդիպման ժամանակ առաջարկել էր Կազանում կայանալիք գագաթնաժողովի ամփոփիչ հռչակագրում ամրագրել BRICS-ի գործընկեր պետությունների ցուցակը։

Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը բացել է նաև BRICS միջպետական ​​ասոցիացիայի գագաթնաժողովը BRICS+ ձևաչափով, որին մասնակցում է մոտ 40 երկիր։

Պուտինը նշել է, որ Մոսկվան հանդիպմանը հրավիրել է «Ռուսաստանի ամենամոտ հարևաններին, մեզ բարեկամ երկրներին»։ Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանի հետ նրանց միավորում է «միասնական պետությունում կյանքի ընդհանուր պատմությունը»։
