ԱՄՆ իշխանությունները մերժել են Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու «հաղթանակի ծրագիրը», սակայն բաց տեքստով նրան չեն ասում այդ մասին, The Economist-ին ասել է ուկրաինացի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան՝ անանուն մնալու պայմանով:

«Նրանք (ԱՄՆ-ն-խմբ․) հայտարարում են, որ դա անկենսունակ ծրագիր է, սակայն խնդիրն այն է, որ այդ մասին Զելենսկուն անձամբ չեն ասում»,- ասել է պարբերականի զրուցակիցը։

Ուկրաինացի պաշտոնյայի խոսքով՝ Զելենսկու «հաղթանակի ծրագիրը» ստեղծվել է որպես «հարկադրանքի դիվանագիտության» բաղկացուցիչ մաս, որի նպատակն է ստիպել Ռուսաստանին Ուկրաինայի հետ բանակցություններ սկսել՝ Կիևին հարմար պայմաններով։

The Economist-ը իր հրապարակման մեջ նշել է նաև, որ Ուկրաինան այժմ ծանր կացության մեջ է, քանի որ Դոնբասի ուղղությամբ տարածքներ է կորցնում, իսկ Արևմուտքից իր ուզած ծավալի ֆինանսավորումը չի ստանում։
