Գրականության Նոբելյան մրցանակը շնորհվել է հարավկորեացի գրող Հան Գանին։ Նա հայտնի է իր «ինտենսիվ բանաստեղծական արձակով, որը դիմակայում է պատմական տրավմային և բացահայտում մարդկային կյանքի փխրունությունը»:

«Նա յուրահատուկ պատկերացում ունի մարմնի և հոգու, կենդանիների և մահացածների միջև կապերի մասին, և իր բանաստեղծական ու փորձարարական ոճով դարձել է ժամանակակից արձակի նորարար»,- ասվում է Նոբելյան կոմիտեի մամուլի հաղորդագրության մեջ։

Անցյալ տարի Նոբելյան կոմիտեն գրականության մրցանակ շնորհեց նորվեգացի գրող Ջուն Ֆոսեին՝ իր «նորարար պիեսների և արձակի համար, որտեղ նա հնչեցնում է այն, ինչ բառերով հնարավոր չէ արտահայտել»։
