ԲՐԻԿՍ-ի դերը պետք է ընդլայնվի միջազգային ասպարեզում, հատկապես տնտեսական հարցերում: Լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է Իրանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Աբբաս Արաղչին:

Նրա խոսքով՝ պետությունների այս միությունը պետք է դառնա նոր բևեռ, և որ դա բոլոր անդամների պահանջն է:

«Կան շատ երկրներ, որոնք պատրաստ են միանալ ԲՐԻԿՍ-ին, և դա ցույց է տալիս, որ ԲՐԻԿՍ-ն իր տեղն է բացում նոր աշխարհակարգում»,- հավելել է նա։ 

Կազմակերպության անդամ են Բրազիլիան, Ռուսաստանը, Հնդկաստանը, Չինաստանը և Հարավաֆրիկյան Հանրապետությունը։

Հայաստանը մասնակցելու է BRICS-ի ոչ պաշտոնական գագաթնաժողովին, որը նախատեսված է հոկտեմբերի 22-24-ը Կազանում։
