Վրաստանի վարչապետ Իրակլի Կոբախիձեն հանդիպել է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների դեսպան Ռոբին Դաննիգանի հետ։

Հանդիպմանը Կողախիձեն մտահոգություն հայտնել ԱՄՆ Պետդեպարտամենտի երեկվա որոշման առնչությամբ, որը նախատեսում է պատժամիջոցներ և վիզային սահմանափակումներ Վրաստանի քաղաքացիների, այդ թվում՝ ոստիկանների համար։

«Այս որոշմամբ ամերիկյան կողմը մոտեցել է կրիտիկական մի կետի, որը, եթե նման այլ որոշում կայացվի, կարող է հանգեցնել վրաց-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների վերաբերյալ Վրաստանի դիրքորոշման էական վերանայման», - ասել է Կոբախիձեն։

Հիշեցնենք, որ երեկ՝ սեպտեմբերի 16-ին, Միացյալ Նահանգները սահմանափակումներ էր մտցրել Վրաստանի մի շարք պետական պաշտոնյաների նկատմամբ՝ ժողովրդավարությունը և մարդու իրավունքները ոտնահարելու համար։

Վրաստանից արձագանքել են, որ այդ անձանց դեմ սահմանված ԱՄՆ պատժամիջոցները միջամտություն են երկրի խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին։
