Իսրայելը քայլ առ քայլ գնում է Գազայի հատվածում պաղեստինյան ՀԱՄԱՍ շարժումը վերացնելու ուղղությամբ, հայտարարել է Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն՝ թվարկելով զինված ուժերի հիմնական հաջողությունները։

«Մենք մեր ամբողջ ուժով ձգտում ենք տապալել ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի ռեժիմը և վերացնել նրա ռազմական ներուժը, և մենք առաջընթաց ենք գրանցում այս հարցում... Մենք քայլ առ քայլ մոտենում ենք դրան»,-ասել է Նեթանյահուն՝ Գազայի հատվածում մարտերի ժամանակ  զոհված և պաղեստինյան արմատականների կողմից առևանգված իսրայելցիների հարազատների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում:

Իր խոսքերը հաստատելու համար վարչապետը նշել է ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի ռազմական թևի ղեկավար Մուհամմադ Դեյֆի լուծարումը, Գազայի հատվածն ու Եգիպտոսը բաժանող Ֆիլադելֆիայի միջանցքի գրավումը, ինչպես նաև այնտեղ տեղակայված Ռաֆահ անցակետի նկատմամբ վերահսկողություն սահմանելը։
