Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք, Ֆրանսիայի մայրաքաղաք Փարիզում հուլիսի 26-ին մեկնարկել էին ամառային 33-րդ Օլիմպիական խաղերը: Պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ խաղերի բացումն անցկացվել է մարզադաշտից դուրս՝ Սեն գետի երկայնքով:

Հանդիսավոր արարողության վերջում աշխարհահռչակ երգչուհի Սելին Դիոնը 2 տարվա դադարից հետո, կրկին վերադարձել է մեծ բեմ` Էյֆելյան աշտարակի վրա կատարելով Էդիթ Պիաֆի Hymne à l'amour երգը:Արևմտյան շոու բիզնեսի մեգաաստղ Սելին Դիոնի ելույթը չորս ժամ տևած բացման արարողության ցնցող եզրափակիչն էր:

Օլիմպիական միջազգային կոմիտեն հրապարակել է Դիոնի լուսանկարներն ու գրել.

«Մենք մտածում ենք, որ այս բացման արարողությունը չէր կարող ավելի լավը լինել: Աշխարհ, բարի գալուստ Փարիզ-2024»
