80 տարեկան հասակում վախճանվել է հայկական թատրոնի անկրկնելի վարպետ, ՀԽՍՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ Վիոլետա Գևորգյանը: Այս մասին հայտնել է նրա մերձավոր ընկերներից՝ ամերիկաբնակ լրագրող, հեռուստահաղորդավարուհի Նունե Ավետիսյանը:


Վիոլետա Գևորգյանը ծնվել է Թբիլիսիում՝ զինվորականի ընտանիքում։ Մանկությունն ու պատանկությունն անցել է Թբիլիսիում։ 1966 թվականին հաստատվել են Երևանում, որտեղ ընդունվել է նորաբաց թատրոն-ստուդիա և Երևանի դրամատիկական թատրոն։ Վիոլետա Գևորգյանն ստեղծագործական գործունեությունն սկսել է 24 տարեկանում։
Շուրջ 20 դերեր է խաղացել Երևանի Հրաչյա Ղափլանյանի անվան պետական դրամատիկական թատրոնում: Առաջին գլխավոր դերը եղել է «Աննա Ֆրանկի օրագիրը» պիեսում։ Գևորգյանին ճանաչում է բերել Աղունի դերակատարումը Հրանտ Մաթևոսյանի «Աշնան արև» պիեսում։

Նշենք, որ հայ բեմի թագուհին 1980-ականի վերջերից բնակվում էր ԱՄՆ-ում:
