«19.11.2018թ․, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հանդիպելով Գեղարքունիքի մարզի համայնքապետերի հետ հայտարարել է. «Ինձ համար, օրինակ զարմանալի է, թե ինչու է մարդը 15-20 տարի 80 հազար դրամ աշխատավարձով աշխատում։ Նա, ում տեղը չի այդ 80 հազարանոց աշխատավարձը, թող գնա ավելի պատշաճ աշխատանքով զբաղվի, իսկ ում գործն է՝ կարողանանք այդ 80 հազարը 160 հազար դարձնենք»։

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը ներկայացնում է Իրական վիճակը. այս ելույթից 5 տարի անց Հայաստանում նվազագույն աշխատավարը ավելի քիչ է Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի նշած 80 հազար դրամից եւ կազմում է 75 հազար դրամ։ Թեեւ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը խոստանում էր 80 հազարը դարձնել 160 հազար դրամ, այնուամնեայնիվ, 2024 թվականի պետական բյուջեում նվազագույն աշխատավարձի բարձրացում նախատեսված չէ։
