Ներկայում Թուրքիայի տարածքում հայտնված Արդահան քաղաքում օրեր առաջ հայտնաբերված դագաղի հետ կապված նոր մանրամասներ են հայտնի դարձել։

Թուրքական Demokrathaber  կայքը գրել է, թե Ռուսաստանում դատաբժշկական հանձնախումբ է կազմվում, որ այցելի Թուրքիա՝ պարզելու գեներալի ինքնությունն ու դագաղը տեղափոխի ՌԴ։

Թուրքական Posta պարբերականն էլ գրել է, թե դագաղի մեջ գտնվող բարձրաստիճան զինվորականը 1877–1878 թվականներին Կարսը գրաված ռուս գեներալ Վասիլի Գեյմանն է։

Կարսի թանգարանի տնօրենը հայտնել է, թե ԴՆԹ–ի տեստի արդյունքից հետո դիակը հանձնվելու է ՌԴ–ին։ Նա եւս պնդել է, թե մեծ է հավանականությունը, որ դագաղի մեջ գտնվող անձը հենց Վասիլի Գեյմանն է, ով 1878–ին վարակիչ հիվանդության զոհ է դարձել եւ թաղվել Արդահանում։
