«Եկեք խոսենք իրավիճակի մասին՝ տարածաշրջանում անվտանգության ապահովման տեսանկյունից, այստեղ շատ հարցեր կան, դրանք շատ զգայուն են», - ասել է Ռուսաստանի ղեկավարը հանդիպման սկզբում։

Ալիևն արձագանքել է՝ նշելով, որ Ռուսաստանը Կովկասում տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության համար հիմնարար երկիր է։

Նա հավելել է, որ բանակցությունների օրակարգը շատ ընդարձակ է, նախատեսվում է, ի թիվս այլ հարցերի, քննարկել Հյուսիս-Հարավ միջազգային տրանսպորտային միջանցքը, որը համաշխարհային նշանակություն ունի տրանսպորտային անվտանգության և առևտրի խթանման համար։
