Միացյալ Նահանգները ներգրավված չէ Իրանի օդային հարձակմանը Իսրայելի հնարավոր պատասխանի մշակման մեջ, ասել է Ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի ռազմավարական հաղորդակցությունների համակարգող Ջոն Քիրբին։

«Մենք ներգրավված չենք նրանց հնարավոր պատասխանի վերաբերյալ որոշումների կայացման գործընթացում», - ասաց նա Սպիտակ տան ճեպազրույցում:

Քիրբին հավելել է, որ, իր տեղեկություններով, Իսրայելի ռազմական կաբինետը դեռ նման որոշումներ չի կայացրել և շարունակում է քննարկել «իր հաջորդ քայլերը»։

Նա ընդգծել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն չի ցանկանում պատերազմ տեսնել Իրանի հետ, սակայն ամեն ինչ կանի Իսրայելը պաշտպանելու համար։

«Մենք չենք ցանկանում պատերազմ Իրանի հետ: Մենք չենք ցանկանում տեսնել տարածաշրջանային հակամարտության ընդլայնում: Մենք կանենք այն, ինչ պետք է անենք Իսրայելը պաշտպանելու համար», - ասել է Քիրբին:
