Շվեդիայի թագավոր Կառլ XVI Գուստավը որոշել է աշխարհահռչակ ABBA փոփ խմբի անդամներին պարգևատրել Վասայի ասպետական շքանշանով, որը վերջին կես դարում ոչ մեկին չէր շնորհվել և համարվում էր «քնած»: Այս մասին հայտնում է BBC-ն:

Երաժիշտներ Բենի Անդերսոնին, Աննի Ֆրիդա Ռոյսին (Լինգստադ), Բյորն Ուլվաուսին և Ագնետա Ֆելտսկուգին ասպետական շքանշաններով պարգևատրելու որոշման մասին ասվում է թագավորական պալատի հաղորդագրության մեջ։ Պարգևատրումը տեղի կունենա մայիսի 31-ին։

Վասայի շքանշանը Շվեդիայի ասպետության չորս շքանշաններից մեկն է՝ Սրի, Հյուսիսային աստղի և Սերաֆիմի շքանշանների հետ միասին։ Այն հիմնադրվել է 1772 թվականին Գուստավ III թագավորի կողմից և շնորհվել է շվեդներին՝ առևտրի, արվեստի և գյուղատնտեսության, ինչպես նաև գիտության ոլորտներում հայրենիքին մատուցած հատուկ ծառայությունների համար: Առաջիններից շքանշան ստացել են նկարիչ Գուստաֆ Լունդբերգը և քիմիկոս Յոհան Գոտշալկ Վալերիուսը։
