Մարտի 11-ին 74 տարեկանում մահացել է ամերիկացի երգիչ, երգահան Էրիկ Կարմենը, հայտնում է փոփ արտիստի կայքը։ Կարմենն առավել հայտնի է որպես 1970-ականների All By Myself հիթի հեղինակ, որն առավել հայտնի է կանադացի երգչուհի Սելին Դիոնի կատարմամբ:

«Մեծ ցավով կիսվում ենք Էրիկ Կարմենի մահվան ցավալի լուրով։ Մեր սիրելի և տաղանդավոր Էրիկը հանգստյան օրերին մահացել է քնի մեջ»,- ասվում է հայտարարության մեջ:

Մահվան պատճառներն ու հանգամանքները չեն նշվում։

Էրիկ Կարմենը ծնվել է 1949 թվականին ԱՄՆ Օհայո նահանգում։ Ստեղծագործական կարիերայի սկզբում եղել է Cyrus Erie և The Raspberries խմբերի անդամ։ Իր սոլո կարիերայի ընթացքում Կարմենը գրել է ինը սոլո ալբոմ։ Ամենահայտնի երգը եղել է Hungry Eyes-ը, որն օգտագործվել է 1987 թվականին նկարահանված Dirty Dancing ֆիլմում։
