Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հայկական կողմին մեղադրել է Արցախում «զանգվածային սպանություններ» կատարելու մեջ և հայտարարել, թե «այդ մասին Արևմուտքի երկրներն ու կազմակերպությունները լռել են ու ոչ մի քայլ չեն ձեռնարկել»։ Այս մասին նա, ԱՊԱ–ի փոխանցմամբ, ասել է Սաքարիայում կայացած հանրահավաքի ժամանակ։

Նա նշել է, թե «տարածաշրջանի երկրների ուժը կարող է բխել նրանց միասնությունից»։

Էրդողանը նաև հայտարարել է, թե ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհուրդը չունի որևէ ազդեցության ուժ։
