Սերժ Սարգսյանը 2018-ից հետո կլինի՞ վարչապետ, թե՞ ոչ` «Ազատության» հարցին ի պատասխան, ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանն ասաց, որ որևէ մեկը, բացի Ս. Սարգսյանից, չի կարող պատասխանել այդ հարցին.

«Համոզված եմ, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը կկարողանա այնպիսի մոտեցումներ ձևավորել, որ միշտ առաջին դիրքերի վրա լինի ընդհանուր քաղաքականության մեջ` վարչապետ կլինի, թե որևէ այլ բան, բայց թե ինչ, չեմ մտածել: Կարծում եմ` Սերժ Սարգսյանը մինչև վերջ պիտի լինի»:

  Անդրադառնալով հարցին, թե` հաշվի առնելով, որ իր մտքերը մշտապես քննարկման թեմա են դառնում լրատվական դաշտում, չի՞ պատրաստվում արդյոք դրանք գրքին հանձնել, ԱԺ նախագահն ասաց. «Ոչ, չեմ մտածել այդ մասին:

Եվ հետո` եթե դրանք ակնառու են լինում, պահպանվում են ժողովրդի մեջ: Մտքեր կան, որ մոռացել եմ, բայց մարդիկ հիշում եմ: Մեր քաղաքական կուլտուրայի մեջ հումորը դեռևս չի մտել: Երբեմն իմ հումորները քրքրում են, սկսում են պայմանավորվածություններ տեսնել, ինչն ինձ դուր չի գալիս»:
