Հայաստանի կողմից Հռոմի ստատուտի վավերացումն ընդգծում է Միջազգային քրեական դատարանի սկզբունքներին մեր համատեղ հանձնառությունը: Այդ մասին ՄՔԴ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցությանը նվիրված պաշտոնական միջոցառմանը նշել է դատարանի մասնակից պետությունների ասամբլեայի նախագահ Պայվի Կաուկորանտան:

Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ տարածաշրջանի և աշխարհի այլ պետություններ կհետևեն Հայաստանի օրինակին, ինչը կամրապնդի Միջազգային քրեական դատարանը որպես անպատժելիության դեմ պայքարին ուղղված կառույց:

Պաշտոնյան Հայաստանին կոչ է արել Հռոմի ստատուտն այժմ ամբողջությամբ ներառել ազգային օրենսդրության մեջ և Ասամբլեայի անունից խոստացել է աջակցել Հայաստանին այդ հարցում: Նա Հայաստանին հրավիրել է ստորագրելու Դատարանի «Արտոնությունների և անձեռնմխելիության մասին համաձայնագիրը», ինչը, նրա խոսքով, բարձրացնում է ՄՔԴ-ի աշխատանքի արդյունավետությունը:

«Ցանկանում եմ ևս մեկ անգամ շնորհավորել և ջերմորեն ողջունել Հայաստանին մեր ընտանիքում: Ես վստահ եմ, որ Հայաստանը կդառնա Հռոմի ստատուտի կյանքի կոչման և համագործակցության զարգացման ակտիվ մասնակից»,- եզրափակել է Կաուկորանտան, հայտնում է 1lurer.am-ը:
