Mk.ru-ն գրում է, որ 2017 թվականին ստորագրված Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն գործընկերության համաձայնագրով Երևանը 14 տարվա ընթացքում պետք է ներքին շուկայում հրաժարվի «կոնյակ» անվանումից, իսկ 25 տարում արտասահմանյան երկրներում: Իր հերթին Եվրամիությունը պարտավորվել է Հայաստանին դրամաշնորհ տրամադրել նոր անվանմամբ հայկական կոնյակը գովազդելու համար։

Ֆրանսիացիները Հայաստանին կխորհրդակցեն կոնյակի նոր անվան շուրջ: Բայց խոսքը միայն անվան մասին չէ, այլ նաև որակի, նկատել է էկոնոմիկայի փոխնախարար Արման Խոջոյանը։ Մարքեթինգի և որակի վերահսկման մանրամասն աշխատանքային պլան կազմելու համար ևս նախարարությունը որոշել է խորհրդատվություն ստանալ ֆրանսիացի մասնագետներից, հավելել է Խոջոյանը։ Մինչդեռ հայ արտադրողների մեծ մասին դուր է գալիս «Armenian Brandy» անվանումը։
