ԱՄՆ պետդեպարտամենտում չեն մեկնաբանել Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանի այցը Նախիջեւան եւ քննարկումներն այսպես կոչված «Զանգեզուրի միջանցքի» մասին։

Պետդեպարտամենտի ներկայացուցիչ Մեթյու Միլլերը նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն «համագործակցում է Թուրքիայի կառավարության հետ այս հարցով»։ «Դա այն հարցերից մեկն էր, որոնք պետքարտուղար Բլինքենը քննարկել է իր թուրք գործընկերոջ հետ Նյու Յորքում անցած ուրբաթ կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ։ Մենք նախկինի պես հուսով ենք, որ մեր բոլոր դաշնակիցները եւ գործընկերները, ներառյալ, իհարկե, Թուրքիան, կկարողանան կառուցողական դեր խաղալ համաձայնագրի կնքման հարցում։ Բայց ես կոնկրետ առաջարկի վերաբերյալ մեկնաբանություններ չունեմ»։
