Եվրամիությունը Ադրբեջանի վրա պատասխանատվություն է դրել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հայերի իրավունքները և անվտանգությունը հարգելու համար և ասել, որ միջոցներ կձեռնարկի Ադրբեջանի դեմ, եթե նրանք ճնշումների ենթարկվեն, ասել է ԵՄ դիվանագիտության ղեկավար Ժոզեպ Բորելը։

«Ադրբեջանը պատասխանատու է Ղարաբաղի հայերի իրավունքների հարգման և անվտանգության ապահովման համար, ներառյալ սեփական տներում ապրելու իրավունքը՝ առանց սպառնալիքների և խտրականության:

Քաղաքացիական բնակչության բռնի տեղահանումը ռազմական կամ այլ միջոցների կիրառմամբ կարժանանա ԵՄ-ի խիստ արձագանքին: ԵՄ-ն պատրաստ է համապատասխան միջոցներ ձեռնարկել, եթե իրավիճակը էլ ավելի վատթարանա»,- ասվում է Բորելի հայտարարության մեջ:
