Իտալիայի փոխվարչապետ և արտաքին գործերի նախարար Անտոնիո Տայանին Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի իշխանություններին առաջարկել է Հռոմի միջնորդությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շուրջ ստեղծված իրավիճակը կարգավորելու համար։ Նա, մասնավորապես, երկու պետությունների արտգործնախարարությունների ղեկավարներին հրավիրել է հանդիպել Իտալիայի մայրաքաղաքում։

«Երեկ ես հանդիպեցի Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարների հետ և նրանց առաջարկեցի իտալական միջնորդություն, մասնավորապես՝ հանդիպում Հռոմում», - ասաց նա լրագրողներին ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի 78-րդ նստաշրջանի շրջանակներում։
