Վերջերս անցկացված բազմաթիվ հետազոտությունների արդյունքների վրա հիմնվելով` մասնագետները պնդում են, որ տղամարդկանց անպտղության համար պատասխանատու է 3 գործոն՝ ծանր ֆիզիկական աշխատանքը, դեղամիջոցների ընդունումը, արյան ճնշման բարձրացումը:

Մասնագետների հետազոտությանը մասնակցել է 456 տղամարդ կամավորներ, որոնց միջին տարիքը 31,8 տարի է: Նրանց կեսից ավելին չի ունեցել երեխաներ, նաեւ բոլորը խնդիրներ են ունեցել երեխայի բեղմնավորման հարցում:

Ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տվել, որ տղամարդկանց անպտղության վրա ազդում է ոչ միայն նրանց ֆիզիկական վիճակը, այլև կենսակերպը:

Գիտնականները պնդում են նաեւ, որ նստակյաց կյանքը, աշխատավայրում անբարենպաստ պայմանները, խոլեսթերինի բարձր մակարդակը կամ շաքարային դիաբետը չեն ազդում տղամարդկանց սերմնահեղուկի որակի վրա:
