Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարար Հակոբ Սիմիդյանը Ադրբեջանից պաշտոնապես որևէ գրություն չի ստացել: Այս մասին Facebook-ի իր էջում գրել է Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարության մամուլի քարտուղար Անի Հակոբյանը:

Նա, մասնավորապես, նշել է. «Ի պատասխան մամուլում շրջանառվող լուրերի, թե Ադրբեջանի բնապահպանության և բնական պաշարների նախարարը ՀՀ շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարին ուղղված գրությամբ պահանջել է դադարեցնել խոշոր մետալուրգիական գործարանի կառուցումը, տեղեկացնեմ, որ Շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարությունն՝ ի դեմս նախարար Հակոբ Սիմիդյանի պաշտոնապես որևէ գրություն չի ստացել»։

Հիշեցնենք, որ ըստ ադրբեջանական ԶԼՄ-ների, Ադրբեջանի բնապահպանության և բնական պաշարների նախարարի՝ Հայաստանի շրջակա միջավայրի նախարարին ուղղված նամակում ասվում է, որ Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը Հայաստանից «պահանջել է» անհապաղ դադարեցնել շինարարությունը, քանի դեռ նախագծի անդրսահմանային ազդեցության հետ կապված հարցերն ամբողջությամբ չեն պարզաբանվել և համարժեք դիտարկվել։
