ԱՄՆ-ն կարծում է, որ Հայաստանի եւ Ադրբեջանի միջեւ խաղաղության հաստատումը հնարավոր է, եւ կարեւոր դեր պետք է խաղա ուղիղ երկխոսությունը։ Այս մասին մամուլի ասուլիսում ասել է ԱՄՆ պետդեպարտամենտի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մեթյու Միլլերը։

Անդրադառնալով Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանի եւ Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի բանակցություններին, որոնք սկսվելու են Վաշինգտոնում հունիսի 27-ին, Միլլերն ընդգծել է, որ ամերիկյան կողմը մի շարք հարցեր ունի, որոնք կցանկանար քննարկել։ «Քննարկումները, որոնք կանցկացվեն այստեղ, շատ նուրբ դիվանագիտական են»,- ասել է խոսնակը՝ ընդգծելով, որ բանակցությունները տեւելու են մինչեւ հունիսի 29-ը։

«Պետքարտուղար Բլինքենը կհանդիպի Ադրբեջանի եւ Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարների հետ։ Մենք նախկինի պես հավատում ենք, որ խաղաղությունը հնարավոր է, եւ որ ուղիղ երկխոսությունը մնացած հարցերի լուծման եւ ամուր ու արժանապատիվ խաղաղության հասնելու բանալին է»,- ասել է Մեթյու Միլլերը։
