Հայաստանը ԵԱՏՄ-ում Իրանի դարպասն է։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Իրանի նորանշանակ դեսպան Մեհդի Սոբհանին, գրում է IRNA-ն։ 

Նրա խոսքով՝ իրանական արտադրողները բավարար հնարավորություններ ունեն «ԵԱՏՄ շուկայում իրենց խոսքն ասելու համար»։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ հարևան երկրների հետ հարաբերությունների ընդլայնումը Իրանի կառավարության արտաքին քաղաքականության կարևոր ուղղություններից մեկն է։

Սոբհանին նշել է, որ Իրանում տնտեսական ներուժի օգտագործումը կօգնի ամրապնդել Հայաստանի հետ առևտրային հարաբերությունները․ «Հայաստանի հետ Իրանի ապրանքաշրջանառությունը գերազանցել է 700 մլն դոլարը, նպատակ է դրված այդ ցուցանիշը հասցնել 3 մլրդ դոլարի»,- ասել է դեսպանը։
