Այսօր տարածված տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ ՆԳՆ Ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժնում բռնություն է գործադրվել փաստաբան Կարեն Ալավերդյանի նկատմամբ։

ՄԻՊ գրասենյակից հաղորդում են՝ դեպքի կապակցությամբ՝ Պաշտպանի սեփական նախաձեռնությամբ սկսվել է քննարկման ընթացակարգ։ Համապատասխան գրություններ կհասցեագրվեն ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազություն և ՀՀ ներքին գործերի նախարարություն՝  նշված դեպքի հանգամանքները մանրամասն և բազմակողմանի քննության առարկա դարձնելու պահանջով:

Հարկ է ընդգծել, որ փաստաբանի պաշտպանված մասնագիտական գործունեությունը երկրում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության պատշաճ համակարգի կարևորագույն նախապայմաններից է, արդարադատության համակարգում և իրավունքի գերակայության ապահովման գործում այն ունի առանցքային կարևորություն»:
