Այսօր Ազգային ժողովում ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Է. Շարմազանովը լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցում, անդրադառնալով երեկ Սայաթ-Նովա գյուղում տեղի ունեցած ԲՀԿ-ականի դանակահարությանը, ասաց, որ այս միջադեպով իրավապահ մարմիններն են զբաղվում:

«Համապատասխան մարմինները գնահատական կտան: Նրանք, ովքեր փորձում են քաղաքական պայքարը վերածել բռնությունների, պայքարի, խոստագույնս պատժվելու են օրենքի ողջ խստությամբ, բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր ապատեղեկատվություն են տարածում, նրանք էլ են խստագույնս պատժվելու: Մենք անելու ենք ամեն ինչ, որ ընտրութունները լինեն օրենքի սահմաններում, մնացածը իրավապահ մարմինների խնդիրն է: Ցանկացած օրինախախտման դեպքով պիտի համապատասխան մարմինները զբաղվեն»:

Ինչպես նշեց Շարմազանովը, չկա մի դեպք հանցագործության վերաբերյալ, որի առթիվ քրեական գործ չհարուցվի:

Դիտարկմանը, թե նախընտրական պայքարը դեռ չսկակած նման դեպքեր են լինում, և գլխավոր դերում ՀՀԿ-ն է, ԱԺ փոխնախագահն արձագանքեց. «98 թվականից այս կողմ գլխավոր դերում Հանրապետականն է, այսինքն՝ իշխանության է ՀՀԿ-ը, ու իշխանությունը պիտի լինի գլխավոր դերում»:
