«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Օրերս գրել էինք, որ ձեռնամարտ է տեղի ունեցել Տեղ գյուղ ներթափանցած ադրբեջանցիների եւ ՀՀ զինվորների միջեւ։ Տեղի բնակիչներից մեկը պատմեց ձեռնամարտի պատճառը․ ադրբեջանցիները Տեղի արոտավայրերը զավթելուց հետո, երբ սկսել են ամրաշինական աշխատանքներ կատարել եւ պոստեր դնել՝ վրան տնկելով ադրբեջանական դրոշներ, նույնն արել են նաեւ հայ դիրքապահները։

Ադրբեջանցիները մեր զինվորներին ասել են, որ չեն ուզում մոտիկից տեսնել ՀՀ դրոշը, եւ հրամայել են իրենցից մի քանի տասնյակ մետր հեռու խփել՝ ՀՀ տարածքի խորքում, սակայն մերոնք չեն նահանջել, որի հետեւանքով էլ ձեռնամարտ, քաշքշուկ է եղել, ու չնայած մերոնք մի քանի անգամ քիչ են եղել, քան ադրբեջանցիները, բայց ձեռնամարտում հաղթել են»:
