ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը Վարշավայում ելույթի ժամանակ ասել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն և Եվրոպան ռուսներին թշնամի չեն համարում և չեն ձգտում ոչնչացնել Ռուսաստանը։ Միաժամանակ, ըստ նրա, Ռուսաստանը պետք է «վճարի» Ուկրաինայում իր գործողությունների համար։ Նա հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի դեմ այս շաբաթ նոր պատժամիջոցների ընդունման մասին։

«Ես ևս մեկ անգամ դիմում եմ ռուս ժողովրդին։ ԱՄՆ-ն և եվրոպական երկրները չեն ձգտում վերահսկողություն հաստատել Ռուսաստանի նկատմամբ կամ ոչնչացնել այն։ Արևմուտքը չէր պլանավորում հարձակվել Ռուսաստանի վրա։ Միլիոնավոր ռուսներ, ովքեր ցանկանում են խաղաղ ապրել իրենց հարեւանների հետ, մեր թշնամիները չեն»,- ասել է Ջո Բայդենը։

Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահն ասել է, որ ռազմական գործողությունը «երբեք անհրաժեշտություն չի եղել», ինչպես ասել է ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը։
