Ուրուգվայի Սենատը միաձայն կողմ է քվեարկել բանաձեւին, որը կոչ է անում Ադրբեջանին «կատարել իր միջազգային պարտավորությունները եւ ապահովել ազատ տեղաշարժը Արցախ-Հայաստան կապող միջանցքով՝ վերջ դնելով բնակչության ճնշումներին»։ Այս մասին Twitter-ում հայտնել է Հարավային Ամերիկայի հայ ազգային խորհրդի ներկայացուցչությունը։

Ուրուգվայի Սենատը «համերաշխություն է հայտնել Արցախի բնակչությանը, որի մարդու իրավունքները պետք է հարգվեն հակամարտության կարգավորման բոլոր մասնակիցների կողմից», ասվում է հաղորդագրության մեջ։
