Դեկտեմբերի 9-ին ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի եվրոպական և եվրասիական հարցերով տեղակալ Քերըն Դոնֆրիդի հետ:

Արարատ Միրզոյանը և Քերըն Դոնֆրիդն անդրադարձել են տարածաշրջանային անվտանգությանը և կայունությանը վերաբերող հարցերի:

Մտքեր են փոխանակվել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի վերաբերյալ: Ընդգծվել է ԱՄՆ պատրաստակամությունը՝ աջակցելու Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության գործընթացին։

Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սահմանային անվտանգության ու սահմանազատման գործընթացին, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանի տրանսպորտային ենթակառուցվածքների ապաշրջափակմանը:

Ընդգծելով Հայաստանի կողմից ներդրվող ջանքերը խաղաղության հաստատման ուղղությամբ՝ նախարար Միրզոյանը նշել է, որ անվտանգային իրավիճակը տարածաշրջանում փխրուն է, իսկ Ադրբեջանի կողմից նոր սադրանքների հավանականությունը շարունակում է բարձր լինել:
