«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. Երեկ տված հարցազրույցում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը կրկին դիմել է մանիպուլյատիվ հնարքների: Խոսելով այն մասին, թե ինչու պետք է նոր փաստաթուղթ ստորագրելու դեպքում իրեն դավաճան անվանեն, ասել է.

«Փորձեմ հնարավորինս պարզ ներկայացնել իմ բառամթերքի հիմքերը: Զիջել-չզիջելը շատ հարաբերական բաներ են։ Ես ասում եմ՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը 29 800 քառակուսի կիլոմետր է։ Հիմա՝ այս արձանագրումից հետո ինչո՞ւ պիտի, օրինակ, որեւէ մեկն ինձ անվանի դավաճան եւ ո՞վ է այդ որեւէ մեկը` նա՞, ով համարում է, որ ՀՀ տարածքն իրականում 300 հազար քառակուսի կիլոմետր է, եւ մենք պետք է որեւէ սահման չճանաչենք, քանի դեռ չենք հասել 300 հզ ք/կմ-ի։ Գուցե ոմանք համարեն, որ դա հրաժարում է, օրինակ, ծովից ծով Հայաստանի գաղափարից եւ, հետեւաբար, դավաճանություն է»։
