Սեպտեմբերի 18-ին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանն ընդունել է պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստան ժամանած ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը: Այս մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունից։

Սուրեն Պապիկյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Նենսի Փելոսիին իրավիճակին արագ արձագանքելու, Հայաստան այցելելու, սեպտեմբերի 13-ին ՀՀ ինքնիշխան տարածքի նկատմամբ ադրբեջանական լայնածավալ ռազմական ագրեսիայի վերաբերյալ հասցեական գնահատականներ հնչեցնելու համար:

Պաշտպանության նախարարը ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսիին է ներկայացրել ադրբեջանական լայնածավալ ռազմական ագրեսիայի հետևանքով ստեղծված իրադրությունը:

Նենսի Փելոսին իր խոսքում ներկայացրել է իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ դիրքորոշումը:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են նաև պաշտպանական ոլորտում երկու երկրների համագործակցությանն առնչվող մի շարք հարցեր:
