ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Նենսի Փելոսին հաստատել է իր Հայաստան առաջիկա այցի մասին լուրերը՝ նշելով, որ տեղյակ չէ իր այցի ծրագրի հրապարակման մասին, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

«Ես չգիտեի, որ իմ ճամփորդական ծրագիրն արդեն հրապարակվել է։ Վաղը ես կգնամ Հայաստան»,-ասել է նա։ 

Փելոսին նշել է, որ հայկական կողմից հրավերը վաղուց է ստացել։ Նրա հետ Հայաստան կժամանի նաեւ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Ջեքսի Սփիրը։

Փելոսին Բեռլինում լրագրողներին հայտնել է, որ մտադիր է Հայաստան այցելել շաբաթ օրը։ Փելոսին հայտնել է ճանապարհորդության մասին հետագա մանրամասները՝ նշելով, որ Կոնգրեսի ճանապարհորդող անդամները «չեն սիրում թիրախ դառնալ»։

«Ամեն դեպքում, խոսքը մարդու իրավունքների եւ յուրաքանչյուրի արժեքների ու արժանապատվության հարգման մասին է»,-ասել է նա։
