«Ադրբեջանը Հայաստանի հետ հավերժ խաղաղության պատրաստակամություն հայտնեց, քանի որ երկու ճանապարհ կա՝ հավերժ խաղաղություն կամ հավերժական պատերազմ»։ Այս մասին Շուշիում տեղի ունեցող համաժողովում իր ելույթի ժամանակ ասել է ԱՀ նախագահի օգնական, նախագահի աշխատակազմի արտաքին քաղաքականության վարչության պետ Հիքմեթ Հաջիևը։

Հաջիևը նաև ընդգծել է ադրբեջանցիների և ԼՂ-ում բնակվող հայերի՝ որպես մեկ երկրի քաղաքացիներ խաղաղ գոյակցության հնարավորությունը.

«Հիմա սա Ադրբեջանի ներքին խնդիրն է։ Ես ուղերձ ունեմ նրանց համար, ովքեր փորձում են դիմել Մինսկի խմբին որպես միջնորդ՝ առկա խնդիրների լուծման համար. չկա միջազգային խնդիր, որին հարկավոր է այդ խումբը և այդ միջնորդը»։
