Պատրիարք Կիրիլն ասում է, որ Եվրոպական և Ամերիկյան քաղաքակրթությունների ապաքրիստոնեացումը «Հայտնության տեսարան է» երբ «մեղքն ամրագրվում է օրենքով» (bit.ly/27V6288): Առաջին դարում Քրիստոնեական կյանքը հանցագործություն էր համարվում Հռոմեական Կայսրությունում և օրենքով պատժվում էր մահվամբ:

Հետագա դարերում ազատություններ եղան ու հիմա մոտենում ենք սկզբնական այդ վիճակին, երբ Քրիստոնյան կարող է բանտ նետվել արվամոլությանը դեմ լինելու կամ երեխային Քրիստոնեաբար դաստիարակելու համար:

Այսօրվա Ավետարանի ընթերցվածում Տեր Հիսուսն ասում է որ այդ ժամանակները ձեզ համար պիտի լինի «առիթ վկայության« (Ղուկ. 21:13), ու ավելացնում, որ չվախենանք, որովհետև «ձեր գլխից մի մազ անգամ չպիտի կորչի։ Եւ ձեր համբերութեամբ պիտի շահեք ձեր հոգիները»։ (Ղկ 21:18,19) Պահեք Քրիստոսի պատվիրանները:
