Սյունիքի մարզի Կապան քաղաքում Իրանի գլխավոր հյուպատոս է նշանակվել Աբեդին Վարամինը: Այս տեղեկությունը «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում հաստատեցին ՀՀ-ում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության դեսպանությունից՝ նշելով, որ հետագայում կներկայացվեն նաև լրացուցիչ տեղեկություններ այդ մասին:

Իրանի կառավարությունը 2021 թ. դեկտեմբերի վերջին որոշում էր ընդունել ՀՀ Սյունիքի մարզի Կապան քաղաքում գլխավոր հյուպատոսություն բացելու մասին՝ հավանություն տալով Իրանի ԱԳՆ-ի առաջարկին, սակայն հյուպատոսությունը դեռ պաշտոնապես չի բացվել: Տեղեկություններ կան այն մասին, որ հյուպատոսությունը ամենան հավանականությամբ բացվելու է այս տարի՝ 2022 թվականին:
