Թուրքիայի արտգործնախարարության ղեկավար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն ասել է, որ Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի Մադրիդի գագաթնաժողովից հետո Թուրքիայի, Շվեդիայի և Ֆինլանդիայի ներկայացուցիչների առաջին հանդիպումը ՆԱՏՕ-ին հյուսիսային երկրների անդամակցության հարցի շուրջ նախատեսված է օգոստոսի 26-ին։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

«Առայժմ մենք չենք տեսնում Շվեդիայի և Ֆինլանդիայի կողմից հուշագրում ամրագրված և բանավոր տրված պարտավորությունների կատարումը, որոնք վերաբերում են ՆԱՏՕ-ին նրանց անդամակցությանը։ Այնուամենայնիվ, մենք պատրաստ ենք բանակցել։ Առաջին նման հանդիպումը Շվեդիայի և Ֆինլանդիայի ներկայացուցիչների հետ նախատեսված է օգոստոսի 26-ին»,- ասել է Չավուշօղլուն։
