Եվրոպական միությունը հորդորում է անհապաղ դադարեցնել ռազմական գործողությունները, որոնք սկսվել են ադրբեջանական և հայկական ուժերի միջև Լաչինի միջանցքի շուրջ և շփման գծի այլ հատվածներում։ Ցավոք, այս բախումներն արդեն հանգեցրել են այն բանին, որ կան զոհեր և վիրավորներ։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է ԵՄ արտաքին քաղաքական ծառայության խոսնակը։

«Էապես կարևոր է թուլացնել լարվածությունը, պահպանել հրադադարի ռեժիմը և վերադառնալ բանակցային սեղանի շուրջ՝ հասնելու բանակցված լուծումների:

Եվրոպական միությունը հավատարիմ է իր հանձնառությանը՝ օգնելու հաղթահարել լարվածությունը և շարունակելու ներգրավվածությունն՝ ուղղված Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանում հարատև խաղաղության և կայունության հաստատմանը»։
