Փետրվարի մեկին նշվում է Հիջաբի համաշխարհային օրը: Առաջին անգամ այն տոնվել է 2013 թվականին` աշխարհին տեղյակ պահելու համար, թե ինչ նշանակություն ունի հիջաբ կրելը: 


Իրանում հիջաբի մասին օրենքի վերաբերյալ շատ վիճաբանություններ են տեղի ունեցել: Boredpanda-ն գրում է, որ լրատվամիջոցները մեղավոր են իրանուհիներին տխուր և անզոր կերպարներով պատկերելու համար: Որոշ դեպքերում այս կերպարը կարող է համապատասխանել իրականությանը, սակայն սա ժամանակակից իրանուհու ամենաճշգրիտ նկարագությունը չէ:
