Отдельная встреча президентов Соединенных Штатов и Турции Джо Байдена и Тайипа Эрдогана, посвященная вопросам обороны альянса и двусторонней повестки, пройдет в рамках стартовавшего в Мадриде саммита НАТО.

В пресс-службе президента США сообщили, что Байден планирует встретиться с президентом Турции для обсуждения вопросов коллективной обороны и безопасности Североатлантического альянса, а также ряда важных вопросов двусторонних отношений.

Встреча лидеров запланирована на 17:45 по местному времени.

Также у Джозефа Байдена на 29 июня запланировано участие в пленарных встречах глав государств — членов НАТО, а также трехсторонние контакты с лидерами Японии и Южной Кореи.

Саммит стран Североатлантического альянса стартовал в Мадриде и продлится до 30 июня.
