Մերլին Մոնրոյի` ամերիկացի արվեստագետ Էնդի Ուորհոլի ստեղծած դիմանկարներից մեկը  Christie's աճուրդում վաճառվել է 195,04 միլիոն դոլարով՝ ռեկորդ սահմանելով որպես ամերիկյան արվեստի ամենաթանկ նմուշ, հայտնում է artnews.com-ը:

Հոլիվուդյան դիվայի՝ Shot Sage Blue Marilyn-ի դիմանկարը, որը պատկերում է Մոնրոյին բաց փիրուզագույն ֆոնի վրա, ստեղծվել է Ուորհոլի կողմից՝ մետաքսե տպագրության մեթոդով: Արվեստի գործը ստեղծվել է 1964 թվականին՝ դերասանուհու մահից երկու տարի անց, և հանդիսանում է ամերիկյան արվեստի խորհրդանիշներից մեկը։

Նկարի վերջնական գինը գրեթե համընկել է փորձագետների ակնկալիքների հետ, որոնք գնահատել են դրա արժեքը 200 մլն դոլար:

Ընդհանուր առմամբ աշխատանքի ձեռքբերման համար դիմել է չորս գնորդ, սակայն աճուրդում հաղթող է ճանաչվել հայազգի արտ-դիլեր Լարի Գագոսյանը։
